There are festivals such as Eid, Rakshabandan, Janmashtami and Independence Day in August when there is no work in banks. Bank will be closed for around 8 days in August. State wise list of holidays at the banks in India in the month of August ...
- On August 3, the banks will be closed in Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana due to greenery Teej on Saturday.
- On Monday, August 12, Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) is a holiday. That is, the bank will be closed on this day.
This time Independence Day and Rakshabandhan are the same day. That is, banks will be closed on August 15, on Thursday.
- On 17th August, due to being the Parsi New Year, banks will be closed only in Mumbai city.
